Socomec

Teleport can connect to Socomec meters. You can connect using Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface.

Configuration of Modbus settings through meter display

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the meter.
  2. Configure the Modbus settings using the display:
    • Press ↵ until you reach the Modbus parameters selection menu. At this point, the display will show SETUP?.
    • Press and hold ↵ for more than 3 seconds to start editing the Modbus settings.
  3. Teleport is configured to use the following Modbus interface configuration. Please configure the meter to use the same settings or let us know if you use a custom configuration:
    • Device address: 5
    • Baud rate: 38400
    • Stop bits: 1
    • Parity: none
  4. Once the settings are correctly configured, save the configuration and exit the setup page.
    • Press and hold ↵ for more than 3 seconds.
    • Press ▲ until y is displayed and press ↵ to confirm.

Configuration of Modbus settings through Easy Config software

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the meter.
  2. Navigate to the Modbus settings through the Easy Config configuration software. You can modify the necessary settings in the configuration menu. The RS485 settings are in the parameters section under Connectivity.
  3. Teleport is configured to use the following Modbus interface configuration (let us know if you use a custom configuration):
    • Device address: 5
    • Baud rate: 38400
    • Stop bits: 1
    • Parity: none
