Seneca

Teleport can connect to Seneca power meters. You can connect using Modbus TCP over ethernet (recommended) or Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface. More configuration information can be found in the official documentationopen in new window.

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. In case Teleport connects to the router: connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router, navigate to our appendix for instructions on how to integrate with a router.

TIP

To input values from the following steps:

  • Access the WebUI via the IP address of the meter and log in (both, the default username and password are admin).
  1. In case Teleport connects directly to the meter: connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport to the LAN port of the Seneca power meter, in the WebUI of the meter, navigate to Setup and REALTIME CLOCK to set the following settings:
    • Addressing Mode: Static
    • IP Address: 192.168.0.10
    • Gateway: 0.0.0.0
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
  2. Navigate to Setup and REALTIME CLOCK and validate following settings related to Modbus:
    • Modbus TCP Address: 1

WARNING

  • Teleport sets the current scale of the Rogowski coils for all phases to 4000 A (full scale 5600 A).
