Sofar

The Teleport can connect to Sofar inverters using Modbus RTU over the RS485 serial interface.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the RS485-in serial port of the Sofar inverter. You can find more details about the connection of different models in this fileopen in new window.
  2. On the inverter's LCD display, navigate to Set Mod-bus Address (Normal -> 1. Enter Setting -> 9. Set Mod-bus Address), then
  • In the case of a single inverter, verify the address is set to 1.
  • In the case of multiple inverters in chain connections, let us know the address of each inverter.
