Weidmuller

Teleport can connect to the Weidmuller Energy Analyser D550/D550-24. You can connect using Modbus TCP over ethernet or Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface. More configuration information can be found in the official documentation.

Configuration

Modbus TCP over ethernet

The teleport can be connected to the Weidmuller Energy Analyser via a router or directly via the LAN port of the meter.

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router. Navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router. Make sure to note the IP of Teleport and the IP of the asset(s). The router should be configured to assign a fixed IP to the meter.

Direct connection via the LAN port of the meter

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port of the Weidmuller meter.

  2. Enter programming mode on the Weidmuller meter. You can do so by pressing keys 1 and 2 for around 1 second, programming mode opens in the form via a password query. If a display password has not been programmed, the first programming menu opens directly. Configure the following settings:

    • DHCP mode to fixed IP by setting address 205 to 0.
    • IP address to 192.168.0.10 by configuring addresses 300, 301, 302, and 303.
    • IP mask to 255.255.255.0 by configuring addresses 304, 305, 306, and 307.
    • Device Address to 1 by setting address 200 to 1. This should be the default setting.
