Efasolar

The Teleport can connect to Efasolar Inverters via Modbus TCP over Ethernet (recommended) or Modbus RTU over RS485. Please consult the official documentation for more detailed information about the asset.

Supported models
  • EFASOLAR 100
  • EFASOLAR 100T
  • EFASOLAR 250
  • EFASOLAR 500M
  • EFASOLAR 500
  • EFASOLAR 630
  • EFASOLAR 730
  • EFASOLAR 900

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. Connect an ethernet cable between the router and the Efasolar asset, as well as between the router and the ETH1 port of the Teleport. Please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

  2. Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 2, or set a different ID.

  3. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.

Connecting the asset directly to the Teleport

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port of the Efasolar asset.

  2. Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 2, or set a different ID.

  3. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the master inverter (first inverter in case of cascading). Depending on the configuration, Teleport can connect to up to 3 strings of inverters.

  2. Set the Modbus RTU settings on the asset according to the asset manual. Default settings are as follows:

    • Baud rate: 9600
    • Parity: None
    • Data bits: 8
    • Stop bits: 1
  3. Set the slave ID of the asset. In case of multiple inverters in parallel, make sure that each slave is assigned a unique slave ID. Please inform us of the chosen slave IDs and any settings that deviate from the default settings.
