Configuration

In order to enable control over Modbus you have to configure the following settings on the battery. Go to Configurate - Basic settings:

  • Networking mode: Slave
  • Load following: Disable
  • Control mode: Remote control

Connect an Ethernet cable between the asset and either a router or an Ethernet port of the Teleport. If connected via a router, please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the battery.
  2. The default settings from the battery manual can be found below. Please let us know if you configure the battery with different settings:
    • Device address: 1
    • Baud rate: 9600
    • Stop bits: 1
    • Start bits: 1
    • Data bits: 8
    • Parity: None
