Wattsonic

The Teleport can connect to Wattsonic hybrid inverters via Modbus RTU over RS485. We support Wattsonic Inverters that support the Wattsonic Hybrid Inverter Modbus Register Table. Teleport can manage the following mode(s) of operation:

  • Real Power Dispatch

The command schema of the operating modes can be found in our API section, under SetBatteryOperation.

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. Connect an ethernet cable between the router and the Com 1 port of the Wattsonic asset, as well as between the router and the ETH1 port of the Teleport. Please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

  2. Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 247, or set a different ID.

  3. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.

Connecting the asset directly to the Teleport

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the Com 1 port of the Solinteg asset.

  2. Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 247, or set a different ID.

  3. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the RS485 port of the battery.

  2. When connecting multiple inverters in parallel, set the termination resistor for the RS485 port on the last inverter in the string.

  3. In the Advanced Settings accessible through the inverter display, configure the following settings:

    • Set Multi -INV Role to Slave
  1. The default settings are:
    • Settings are currently unknown. Wattsonic needs to inform us of the default settings
    • Device address: 247
    • Baud rate: 9600
