Autarco

The Teleport can connect to grid-tied Autarco inverters via Modbus RTU over RS485 or via Modbus TCP over ethernet using the Autarco LAN Stick. Using the LAN Stick is preferred as it allows the asset owner to maintain the connection to the MyAutarco platform. Please consult the official documentation for more detailed information about the asset.

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. Connect the Teleport and the LAN Stick with an ethernet cable.
    • If connected via a router, connect an ethernet cable between the router and the LAN Stick and an ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router. Please follow the steps described in Connecting through a router.
    • If connected directly, connect an ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN Stick. Please make sure the asset has a static IP configured.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the master inverter (first inverter in case of cascading). Depending on the configuration, Teleport can connect to up to 3 strings of inverters.

  2. Set the Modbus RTU settings on the asset according to the asset manual. Default settings are as follows:

    • Baud rate: 9600
    • Parity: None
    • Data bits: 8
    • Stop bits: 1
  3. Set the slave ID of the asset. In case of multiple inverters in series, make sure that each slave is assigned a unique slave ID. Please inform us of the chosen slave IDs and any settings that deviate from the default settings.
