Modbus TCP over ethernet
Connecting via a router (recommended)
-
Connect an ethernet cable between the router and the SAJ asset, as well as between the router and the ETH1 port of the Teleport. Please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.
-
Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 1, or set a different ID.
-
Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.
Connecting the asset directly to the Teleport
-
Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port of the Efasolar asset.
-
Confirm that the default slave address of the asset is set to 1, or set a different ID.
-
Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual.
Modbus RTU over RS485
- Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the inverter. Please refer to the inverter’s user manual for the pinout of the RS485 connector.
- Use the LCD display to go to the Settings and Communicate Set menu and configure the following properties.
RS485 address:1(in case of multiple inverters, each inverter needs to have a unique address)
