Modbus TCP over ethernet
Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port of the SMA asset. If the LAN port of the asset is already occupied (e.g. connected to a router), navigate to our appendix for instructions on how to integrate with a router. The Modbus TCP over ethernet (Speedwire) settings can be configured similarly to enabling Modbus TCP.
-
From Device Parameters/Settings, depending on which configuration type you have followed, navigate to System communication.
-
Select Edit and configure the following settings, with values as described in Static IPs for a direct asset connection.
- IP Address
- Subnet Mask
- Gateway:
0.0.0.0
or192.168.0.11
if you want to use e.g. Sunny Portal - DNS server IP
-
If you are connecting multiple assets, follow the same instructions with a different IP address.
