ABB

Teleport can connect to several ABB power meters. You can connect using Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface. More configuration information can be found in the official documentation.

Modbus RTU over RS485

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the meter.

  2. Set the communication to RS485:

    • Select SET and press OK
    • Select RS-485 and press OK
    • Select Protoc and press OK to see the selected protocol. If this is not configured to Modbus, select it and press OK. Press and hold OK to step back into the previous menu
    • Press ↓ to see the baud rate, modbus device address and parity and change these to the desired values

  3. Teleport is configured to use the following default Modbus interface configuration of the meter (let us know if you use a custom configuration):

    • Device address: 1
    • Baud rate: 19200
    • Stop bits: 2
    • Parity: none
