Huawei
The Teleport can connect to Huawei SmartLoggers with system requirements as described in the SmartLogger Modbus Interface Definitions document. The Teleport can also connect to Huawei Inverters with system requirements as described in the Solar Inverter Modbus Interface Definitions document. You can connect using Modbus TCP over ethernet (recommended for SmartLoggers) or Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface (recommended for inverters).

Connect the Teleport to a Smartlogger
Modbus TCP over ethernet
The Teleport can be connected to the Smartlogger via a router or directly via the WAN port of the logger.
Connection via a router (recommended)

Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router. Navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router. Make sure to note the IP of Teleport and the IP of the asset(s).

Connect the Teleport to Inverter(s)
The Teleport can connect to inverters directly or through the Huawei SDongleA-05. For connection through the SDongleA-05, the firmware of both the inverter and the SDongleA-05 should be updated to the latest version prior to the installation, and the SDongleA-05 should have Modbus TCP enabled.
Modbus RTU over RS485 (recommended)

Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the master inverter (first inverter in case of cascading). Depending on the configuration, Teleport can connect to up to 3 strings of inverters.

Log in to the inverter over a USB cable and log in as an advanced user. Note that you will need to have the username and password at your disposal.

Go to Settings and then choose Feature Parameters. Navigate to RS485-1 communication (or RS485-2 communication) and select Enable. Note that both RS485-n communication interfaces should have the same configuration.

For the connected RS485 interface, verify that each inverter has the following settings:

In the case of a single inverter, verify the Com address is

. In case of multiple inverters, please set each inverter in a string to a different address and let us know these addresses. This is necessary to ensure the correct functioning of the Teleport.
Using an SDongleA-05
- Log to the SDongleA-05 interface with the Huawei SUN2000 app.
- Go to Settings > Communication configuration and Dongle parameter settings.
- Select Modbus TCP and select Enable Unrestricted.
- On the inverter, verify the Com address is
