Cellpower

The Teleport can connect to Cellpower battery systems using Modbus TCP over Ethernet. The battery system can be directly controlled via Teleport to manage the available mode of operation:

Configuration

Modbus TCP over Ethernet

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable between the asset and either a router or an Ethernet port of the Teleport. If connected via a router, please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

  2. Make sure the Cellpower battery is configured correctly to be controlled via modbus TCP (default mode of battery). The default port is 502; if this is changed, please notify us so we can reconfigure the Teleport accordingly.

  3. Make sure the IP address is static, so that it will not change in the future. Either set it in the asset itself to be outside of the DHCP range of the router, or configure a reserved DHCP lease with a static IP address for the asset within the router and enabling DHCP in the asset. The default IP address is 192.168.1.161; if this is changed, please notify us so we can reconfigure the Teleport accordingly.
