Teleport Console
The Teleport Console gives asset owners, installers, and steering parties a single place to view details from the Teleport Gateway, as well as the connected assets such as solar, wind, battery storage, and EV infrastructure. From here you can easily manage access, issues and check the connection status of the assets.
Access management
How to receive access
Our Teleport Console is an invite-only platform. There are two ways to receive access:
- My organization already has access to the Console: Colleagues with access to the Console can send you an invite. They can find this feature under the ‘access’ tab in the main menu.
- I am a first-time customer: You will receive an invitation from our sales team to join the platform.
- I am new, but partnering with an organization that has access: The existing organization can request a partnership with access to be created with our operations team.
Set up your account (first-time login)
After receiving the invite in your inbox, please follow the steps below to finish setting up your account.
- Open the link in the invite email, which leads you to the Console.
- Add your (first and last) name; this can not be changed later.
- Create and confirm your password.
- The Console makes use of a 2-factor authentication app to generate unique passwords each time you log in. Many password managers support 2-factor authentication or use a service such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Start by scanning the QR code in the Console and follow the instructions from the authenticator app. Alternatively, you can navigate to the app first and enter the code provided by the platform to finish the setup.
- The Console will display a set of recovery codes. Please do not skip this step, and save the recovery codes in a secure, easily findable place in case you lose access to the authenticator application.
Lost password and/or 2-factor authentication
It might happen that you are unable to log in. Here are ways to resolve some of the most common issues:
- Lost your password? Follow the link on the login page that says ‘forgot your password’. You will be asked to fill in your email and 2-factor authentication code to reset your password.
- Lost access to your authenticator app? After filling in your email and password, the log-in page shows a ‘lost access to your authenticator app?’ button. By clicking on this, you will be asked to fill out one of the recovery codes you saved during your setup process to reset your 2-factor authentication.
- Lost your password and access to the authenticator app? Please contact our support to reset your account. (This also applies if you lost access to your authenticator app and recovery codes).
Logging in
Each time you log in, you will be asked for your email, password, and 2-factor authentication code. This code can be found in the authenticator app you used to set up your account (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.). It is never emailed or texted to you.
Partnership access
Partnerships in the Console allow you to share your device information and/or other functionalities with other organizations that require access.
Main reasons to grant access to another organization based on the current functionalities of the platform:
- Partners with Console access to one or multiple devices can see the device’s status, assets, and configuration; adjust monitoring contacts; and view cloud settings.
- Partnerships are used to configure API keys and Data forwarding destinations for organizations that will do steering and/or need data forwarding.
- Partners with order rights can prepare order forms on behalf of their clients, but placing the order still lies with the end customer. This might apply to service providers or installers that prepare all relevant information on a project but leave the subscription costs up to the asset owner.
If you require partnership access, please contact Withthegrid and include the partner in CC.
