The Teleport can connect to the ElecNova battery Energy Storage System (BESS) using Modbus TCP over ethernet .

The Teleport can manage the following mode(s) of operation for both models of the ElecNova BESS:

Modbus configuration

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and one of the available ethernet ports of the BESS.
  2. In the device’s web UI, go to Forwarding Parameters and update the following settings:
    • Comm Mode:
      • Comm Mode: Modbus-TCP
    • Comm Parameters:
      • Port Number: 3200
