EMU

Teleport can connect to EMU power meters. You can connect using Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface on the Modbus series, and Modbus TCP over ethernet for the TCP/IP series.

Supported models
  • Professional II 3/100 Modbus
  • Professional II 3/5 Modbus
  • Professional II 3/100 TCP/IP
  • Professional II 3/5 TCP/IP

Modbus RTU over RS485 (Modbus series only)

  1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the meter:

    • RS485_NEG pin on Teleport to B pin of the meter
    • RS485_POS pin on Teleport to A pin of the meter
    • GND pin on Teleport to C pin of the meter
  2. Teleport is configured to use the following default Modbus interface configuration of the meter (let us know if you use a custom configuration): - Device address: 1

    • Baud rate: 19200
    • Stop bits: 1
    • Parity: even

Modbus TCP over ethernet (TCP/IP model only)

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router. Navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router. Make sure to note the IP of Teleport and the IP of the asset(s). The router should be configured to assign a fixed IP to the meter.

  2. Connect the ethernet cable between the router and the meter.

  3. Inform us of the chosen IP and port settings.
