Asset Groups
The Teleport can be configured combine multiple assets of the same type into an asset group. Groups are supported for the following asset types:
Asset groups simplify reporting, by collecting measurements of the subassets into a single message. However, this means that if one of the subassets loses connection, the aggregated measurements will be unreliable and the Teleport will not report them. For example, if a solar group has one unreliable inverter, it may cause the totaled measurements to be nulled.
Asset groups enable simplified control by sharing one schedule across all subassets. All assets can thus be controlled using a single API call.
