The Teleport can connect to the Poweroad battery Energy Storage System (BESS) using Modbus TCP over ethernet.

The Teleport can manage the following mode(s) of operation of the Poweroad BESS:

Modbus configuration

Modbus TCP over ethernet

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and one of the available ethernet ports of the BESS.
  2. In the device’s web UI, go to Forwarding Parameters and update the following settings:
    • Comm Mode:
      • Comm Mode: Modbus-TCP
    • Comm Parameters:
      • Port Number: 520
