Xemex
Teleport can connect to the Xemex Smart Connect using Modbus TCP over Ethernet. The Smart Connect reads the P1/A1 port of a smart meter.
Supported models
- Smart Connect P1/A1

Modbus TCP over Ethernet
-
Connect the Ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router. Navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router.
-
Connect the Smart Connect to the P1/A1 port of the meter and power it using its USB-C supply.
-
Connect the Ethernet cable between the router and the Smart Connect. The Smart Connect requests an IP address via DHCP by default. Configure the router to assign a fixed IP to the Smart Connect, or set a static IP in its web interface at
http://smart-connect. -
Inform us of:
- The IP address of the Smart Connect. The Teleport connects on the default Modbus TCP port
502; a device address (i.e. Slave ID/ Unit ID) does not need to be configured. - Whether the meter is connected 3-wire or 4-wire.
- The current and voltage transformer ratios, if applicable (e.g.
200/5 Aand10 kV/100 V).
- The IP address of the Smart Connect. The Teleport connects on the default Modbus TCP port
