Warning

A field test is still required for this integration. Functionality may not be fully validated yet.

Setpoint operations

The asset can be controlled via the Teleport to set the following operations.

• dispatchPower - to control active power setpoint

Note

• The battery does not expose avaliable energy measurements (kWh), only state of charge (%).
• The resolution of the active power setpoint is 1 kW.

Modbus configuration

The Teleport can connect to Dyness battery systems using Modbus RTU over RS485 or TCP over Ethernet connection.

Note

For either configuration method, go to Setting > EMS > RunSet > Remote:

Ensure that: Control Mode: Remote.

Confirm the default device address of the asset is set to 1, or set a different address.

Modbus TCP over ethernet

Note

Please inform us of the chosen Device address, IP address, Default Gateway and Subnet Mask as configured on the asset and the router.

1. Connect an Ethernet cable between the asset and either a router or an Ethernet port of the Teleport. If connected via a router, please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

2. Go to Setting > EMS > SysSet > Network to configure the TCP network configuration.

3. Refer to the Dyness EMS Quick Adaptation Manual - modbus protocol or similar, for more TCP configuration instructions.

Modbus RTU over RS485

1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the Dyness battery.

2. Check that the default settings are:

   • Device address: 1
   • Data bits: 8
   • Stop bits: 1
   • Parity: None
   • Baud rate: 115200 bps
