Jinko SunTera G2

The Teleport can connect to Jinko SunTera G2 battery systems using Modbus TCP over ethernet. The battery (BMS) is steered via an external PCS, from Power Electronics.

Supported models:
  • All Jinko SunTera G2 models (no specific firmware versions required).
  • Inverters PCSM/K and MPCSM/K from Power Electronics.

Setpoint operations

The asset can be controlled via the Teleport to set the following operations.

  • dispatchPower - to control active power setpoint
Alarms

The Teleport will report warnings and errors for both devices (BMS and PCS). The alarms will provide information of the corresponding register, bit set and code/status, when applicable. If any error/warning is reported by the Teleport, please consult the documentation of the respective device for its description.

Configuration

Modbus TCP over ethernet

This integration handles two distinct devices: the BMS (Jinko) and the PCS (Power Electronics) which controls the BMS. Each device requires its own IP address.

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable between the asset and either a router or an Ethernet port of the Teleport. If connected via a router, please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

  2. For the BMS, the default IP address is 192.168.1.24 (configurable) and the port must be 502.

  3. The PCS’s IP address is configurable.
