SCU

The Teleport can connect to SCU battery systems using Modbus TCP over ethernet.

Supported models

• SCU Ecube (GRES) (TCP only)
• SCU BRES (TCP or RS485)

The battery system can be operated via Teleport to manage the available mode of operation:

Configuration

SCU Ecube (GRES):

Modbus TCP

1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port on the battery’s LCD screen. If this port is already connected to the router, navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router. Make sure to note the IP of Teleport and the IP of the asset(s).

2. On the LCD screen, enter the Administrator mode. Click on Settings - Communication parameters, check the default settings:

   • IP address: 192.168.0.232
   • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
   • Gateway: 192.168.0.1

SCU BRES:

Warning

A field test is still required for the integration of SCU BRES. Functionality may not be fully validated yet.

Modbus TCP

1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN 1 port of the battery. If this port is already connected to the router, navigate to our appendix for generic instructions on how to integrate with a router. Make sure to note the IP of Teleport and the IP of the asset(s).

Modbus RS485

1. The default Modbus RS485 settings on the battery is:

   • address: 1
   • baud rate: 9600
   • data bit: 8
   • stop bit: 1
   • parity bit: none
