Eastron

Teleport can connect to Eastron meters. You can connect using Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface. More configuration information can be found in the official documentation.

Modbus RTU over RS485

1. Connect the serial cable between the serial port of the Teleport and the serial port of the meter.

2. On the Eastron meter, go to the communication menu: - Set the modbus device address, baud rate, and parity and change these to the desired values.

3. Teleport is configured to use the following default Modbus interface configuration of the meter:

   • Device address: 1
   • Baud rate: 19200
   • Stop bits: 1
   • Parity: none

Warning

The Stop bits setting might need to be manually adjusted on the meter. The default setting is 2, but this setting is not compatible with Teleport. Please check this setting and, if necessary, change the Stop bits to 1.
