Seneca
Teleport can connect to Seneca power meters. You can connect using Modbus TCP over ethernet (recommended) or Modbus RTU using the RS485 serial interface. More configuration information can be found in the official documentation.

Modbus TCP over ethernet
- In case Teleport connects to the router: connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the router, navigate to our appendix for instructions on how to integrate with a router.

In case Teleport connects directly to the meter: connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport to the LAN port of the Seneca power meter, in the WebUI of the meter, navigate to Setup and REALTIME CLOCK. Configure the following settings, with values as described in Static IPs for a direct asset connection.

Connect to the Teleport via the D-/A (pin 1), D+/B (pin 2) and GND (pin 3) ports on the main serial connector of the back panel.

Connect the Seneca meter via the RS485 connector, with:
- the - port connected to D-/A (pin 1) of the Teleport,
- the + port connected to D+/B (pin 2) of the Teleport,
- the COM port connected to the GND (pin 3) of the Teleport.

On the Seneca meter, go to the communication menu (COM). Set the modbus device address, baud rate, and parity to the desired values.
