Embion

The Teleport can connect to the Embion SolarGateway via Modbus TCP over Ethernet.

Supported models

• The Modbus client function is available in the SolarGateway from software version 4.2.0 or higher

Note

Some solar assets may support more properties than are available through the Teleport at this moment. If you require additional properties that are part of our datamodel for solar assets, reach out to us.

Modbus TCP over ethernet

Note

Please inform us of the chosen Slave ID, IP address, Default Gateway and Subnet Mask as configured on the asset and the router.

Connecting via a router (recommended)

1. Connect an ethernet cable between the router and the Embion SolarGateway, as well as between the router and the ETH1 port of the Teleport. Please navigate to our appendix for more instructions on how to integrate with a router.

2. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual; in the Setup TCP section of the Modbus menu, activate the Client & server option to enable the client function.

Connecting the asset directly to the Teleport

1. Connect the ethernet cable between the ETH1 port of the Teleport and the LAN port of the Embion SolarGateway.

2. Configure the TCP settings on the asset according to the asset manual; in the Setup TCP section of the Modbus menu, activate the Client & server option to enable the client function.
